I think this washer and dryer is great, outside of the terrible buzzer. Other than the buzzer issue, this unit is great. I had a GE space saver before this, and this unit cleans the clothes much better. It actually seems to remove many stains and what not.The capacity of the washer is large, and the dryer is HUGE.If you are in the market for a new stack washer and dryer, I would recommend this one only if you do not have to have it in your main living area, as the buzzer is insanely loud. If you can wait, I would wait until the newer models come out, because I would imagine a volume adjustment or on off switch will be added
the washer is smaller than the dryer – bittersweet in a way because the dryer is huge and the clothes dry SUPER fast! I also compared it to all of the other units and it is the SHORTEST so if you have vertical space constraint this is the unit for you! the buzzer is so loud and there is no way to turn it off…
I just bought the unit in March, and I love it!! The stackable I had before didn’t dry my clothes well at all which led me to hang them instead of throwing them in the dryer, I thought this was the way all the stackables worked, BUT I purchased this one and I love it!! Just like the other reviewers the buzzer will scare the bajesus out of you, because it is loud, and it buzzes when the clothes are done washing not just drying, I wasn’t used to that. But it washes clothes and spin dries very well, and the dryer is full capacity I love it!! The guys who installed it were very nice also made sure it was set up correctly and everything!! Now I don’t mind washing, I just make sure I am close by when it’s almost done so I don’t have to listen to the loud buzzer!! I stay in a condo so this is perfect!!
The front load design of the washer of this laundry center is a nice change from my previous 11 year old Frigidaire top load washer/laundry center. It holds more clothes, is more water efficient and easier on the clothes. It is quiet, except when it spins it sometimes rumbles a bit for a moment, but this is common with front load washers. The spin is super fast and extracts water from the clothes very effectively. The dryer also has a very large capacity although the laundry center is only 27 inches wide. The dryer is relatively quiet and dries very effectively. The noisiest part of the laundry center is the very noticeable buzz at the end of the washer and dryer cycles, but it does not really bother me since it is rather short in length and it does notify me of its completion.
Great size for stackable. I would recommend it to anyone that is confined with space. The washer spin cycle almost drys the clothes which makes the cost of dry time very managble. I’ve not experienced any smells or mildew and have left the clothes in the washer for 1+ days.
This is a GREAT unit and we are very pleased with its operation. It is gentle on clothes and as a result doesn’t remove stains as well as our old name brand top loader, but as a trade off the clothes last longer, and tough stains can be easily pretreated. Efficient and quiet (except for the buzzer) and has a GREAT dryer, and the washer and dryer capacities are fabulous for the unit’s size. Thumbs up — highly recommended!!
I love this washer and dryer – although I agree the “buzzer” (aka – the alarm) is very loud. Personally I like the loud alarm as I am typically doing other chores while doing laundry so this loud alarm reminds me of laundry. But this unit is like a full size washer/dryer – I love it! Stuff it full and it cleans and dries very good. This is a safe purcahse for Apt/Condo or even single family home owners.
I’ve used this for just over a year running 4 loads a week and it is a great washer and dryer. Works great with all my clothes. I have it located right off the bedroom and I was surprised at how quiet it is, sometimes I have to double check to see if it is running. The buzzer is loud and I can’t figure out how to turn it off but I really have no complaints with it.
Still trying to get used to the fact that it uses so little water, but clothes come clean and that iw what matters. Love the buzzer on the washer. Can’t forget a load anymore.
nice size, the drying rack was not included when installed, waiting to get it. Having trouble with the bleach & softener dispenser but I’ve only had the machine for two days. Over all – love it and would recommend – especially when these minor problems get taken care of.
Dryer drum is extra large. Washer is super quiet. Only drawback is the end-of-cycle buzzer, whose volume cannot be adjusted.
