I bought this over two months ago and noticed that my clothes were damp after the wash and dry cycle. It took up to two days to dry my clothes. I tried to return the product right away… So they made an appointment to have a technichian look at it. Not only did I have to spend my own money at a laundry mat but it took over a month for someone to check my unit. Once the tech checked it, he found that my clothes did not dry on time. When talked to the manufactures they said it will take longer than what the instructions stated. Why would I buy a product when I have to wait for 4 pairs of jeans to dry within two days? If I wanted a washer/dry combo that didnt fully produce by the time stated in the manual I would have bought a cheaper one that works better than this one. Now Im stuck waiting almost two days for a few clothes to dry!
Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE!!!! This is my first washer, and I am close to throwing it off my balcony.
NOT only does the dryer NOT DRY well, but it has broken a total 7 times (and counting) and I have owned it for less than 6 months.
I paid good money for a NEW washer/dryer which doesn’t work for more than a week without a visit from the repair guy. FYI, The repair guy agrees that this product should be taken off the market.
The timer keeps breaking and once the DOOR FELL OFF! Just snapped off the hinges. And I was being really gentle when I opened it. Now that is a nightmare.
I can’t wait to get rid of it, it has been a horrible, painful experience.
You’re insane if you buy this.
PS. It broke yesterday, again. I can’t wash my clothes…
I had no idea these were still being made.I found that out back in 1993.I grew up with a Lady kenmore Combination and it lasted us(a family of 12)30 years. When I moved to Florida and got a bungalo,I needed something Small but usefull as well as functional and convenient.I saw the Equator(model EZ1000)and got it for my home.I stayed there untill 2000 and used it every other day.I never once had any issues.the person who sold it to me,Mark realy knew his product and taught me how to use it as well as maintanance on it.When I moved,I sold it with the house. When I got to my new home here,I got the EZ3720CEEW and it works just as well(if not better)than my original one.I got it in January’07 on line and after I leveled it and hooked it up,I was in business.I did an average load and it worked great!I highly recomend this gem to those who want to be able to put the clothes in a machine, set it and forget it. It does take a bit longer to dry and the clothes feal a bit steamy when they come out. But,they dry as soon as the air hits them.
Washing function works very well. Drying function is time consuming, however I don’t mind it. It does not dry clothing like a normal 220 or gas dryer- items removed are slightly damp. If you leave items laid out for a little while (10 minutes, etc. depending on item) they finish drying. Considering my usage- in a small condo- this unit is ideal.
This unit is compact and hooks up & drains into an RV sink. It is perfect for going places where no laundry facilities are available but don’t count on the dry cycles to actually dry your clothes. It gives you a head start but you must have an alternative drying sollution. I use a drying rack.
This washer-dryer combo came in our new apartment rental. It’s great as a space-saver and a novelty, but it doesn’t really dry your clothes. It’s very small capacity and you have to take out half the small load in order for the other half to dry, and in that case you have to have it on the highest setting for 2 hours. It supposedly uses 1/5 the energy of a normal dryer, but if you are only drying 1/4 of a normal load for twice as long as you would in a regular dryer, you are using more energy. With that said, like any front-loading washer, it does clean your clothes very well. Since we are stuck with it for as long as we rent the apartment, we are adjusting by air-drying most of our clothes on racks.
I am the not-so-proud owner of a Triton by Equator Ventless Combination Washer/Dryer and I could not be any more dissatisfied with the unit… It took Equator/Triton 3 weeks to arrange for a technician to even look at the unit. Which took another 3 weeks for a part to be ordered and replaced (the entire front panel), which in turn took another 3 weeks for the technician to return and install–and here’s the kicker–which took 2 days before I realized now the dryer portion of the system is malfunctioning due to the work of the technician. It’s two days later since I’ve contacted the company and have yet to hear from them. For a unit I spent a thousand dollars on I guess I expected a bit more. Zero customer service, questionable reliability in product
what a waste! this is thing doesnt clean my clothes, stains are still apparent, and the dryer leaves clothes VERY VERY wrinkled, unwearable, and covered in lint. takes forever to dry a load. you can put a few towels in it and wait a few hours for them to come out either damp or very wrinkled. there is no timer on the dryer, just a heat degree setting. the machine’s door constantly gets stuck in the door lock mode so you have to unplug it to open the door when the dryer is done
